It’s Wednesday..

..so it’s what I wore

Purple dress – Boden, purple tights (just seen) – M&S, tall brown leather boots – c/o Country Attire from CO/AT range, heart charm bracelet – c/o Merci Maman, nails – Rouge Noir Chanel Le Vernis

The winter woolies are definitely out now and this lovely knitted dress from Boden is easily a couple of years old but still very much a favourite. It is actually a really deep purple colour but for some reason the close up picture looks much lighter? Gah! It has a faux wrap top and a lovely pleated detail at the waistband making it a really flattering fit and it is fully lined too. The sleeves are three-quarter length (my favourite) and are a lovely bell shape. Quite a plain dress but made prettier by the little details of course.

The CO/AT boots are such a classic shape that they have fast become a wardrobe staple. The photo doesn’t quite do them justice but that’s what you get when taking a hurried mirror selfie with an iPhone. Where can you find a small child/photographer when you need one, huh? But they are a gorgeous dark brown colour and as shiny as a conker. I love them. My full review is right here in case you missed it.

My beloved charm bracelet from Merci Maman is definitely one of my most cherished pieces of jewellery. Each of the little heart charms are engraved with my babies names. I first discovered (and fell in love with!) Merci Maman when I was asked to do a review for them a couple of years ago here and have since gone on to buy some gorgeous gifts for Mr Mostly. Well worth a look if you are looking for something that bit different for someone special this Christmas!

I treated myself to this new Chanel nail varnish with my Debenhams beauty card points the other week and I have hardly worn anything else since which is so unlike me. But anything other than Rouge Noir at this time of year just seems surplus to requirements. An absolute classic, don’t you agree?
